A three-vehicle crash on Cadiz Road in Christian County sent four people to the hospital, three of them went to Nashville hospitals due to the severity of their injuries.
According to the report from the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, it happened on U.S. 68 around 11:45 p.m. when a vehicle operated by 37-year-old Ashley Mongham of Hopkinsville was allegedly heading east in the westbound lanes, traveling towards two other vehicles head-on.
One driver, a 17-year-old of Clarksville, attempted to swerve out of the way of a collision and struck a vehicle in the lane next to him, driven by 33-year-old Zaneta Orzol of Cadiz. That caused Orzol to spin out, and she was then struck by Mongham.
Mongham was flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Orzol was flown to Skyline Medical Center, an 8-year-old passenger in Orzol’s vehicle was flown to Vanderbilt Pediatrics and a 17-year-old passenger was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment.
