The Hopkinsville-Christian County YMCA is putting out the word—their new Teen Center is ready to open and welcome in teens from across the county, and they’re inviting folks to the grand opening set for next week.
It all kicks off Monday, when the center dedicated to providing a safe and engaging spaces for youth ages 12-years-old through 17-years-old will officially open its doors. There will be a dedication and open house on Monday at 3 p.m. and the event will give attendees the chance to tour the new Teen Center, explore the YMCA facility and learn more about the programs and services available to youth and families.
YMCA CEO Sheryl Ellis says, “We are excited to provide a space where teens can connect, learn, and grow in a supportive environment. The Teen Center is an important addition to our facility, and we look forward to seeing it become a vibrant hub for our youth. By encouraging fellowship among our teens, we hope to foster strong, positive relationships that will benefit them for years to come.”
The Teen Center will work to offer a variety of activities and programs for youth, while providing a snack and a meal each day.
