The reality of the final season of Hopkinsville High School softball is becoming closer as the Lady Tigers played their final home game Monday afternoon against McLean County.
After not having a team last season, the Lady Tigers were able to field a team in 2026. It is the last Hopkinsville High School softball team before consolidation with Christian County High School in the 2026-27 school year.
On Monday, the Lady Cougars struck quickly and jumped out to an early lead on the way to a 15-3 victory.
Bailee Ladson went 3-for-4 at the plate with a pair of singles and a double. Amelia Lockhart added three singles and Zoe Thomas also had a pair of hits for Hopkinsville, which slipped to 1-12.
The Lady Tigers’ final regular season in school history is scheduled to come to an end this afternoon as they travel to Whitesville Trinity.
