With now former Ward Five Hopkinsville City Councilmember Amy Craig stepping down from that position recently, that means the City will begin accepting applications from those who would like to fill that vacancy.

Residents of Ward Five who are interested are encouraged to apply for consideration—they must be at least 18-years-old, be a qualified voter from the City of Hopkinsville and meet all qualifications set down by Kentucky law.
The application is available online at hopkinsvilleky.us/vacancy, and along with that application, folks must submit a resume outlining their community involvement, a letter explaining their wishes to serve and a completed financial interest statement in according with the city’s Code of Ethics.
The deadline to apply is 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 26, and the documents must be submitted to the City Clerk’s Office at the Hopkinsville Municipal Center on South Virginia Street.
