It’s been nearly a year since Clippendale’s relocated to West 7th Street and expanded its services, and to celebrate the anniversary, the pet grooming and boarding service is hosting a one-year birthday bash.
Clippendale’s opened as a dog groomery in 2020, and last year, owner Danielle Kelvey says she and her staff felt like there was a local need for pet boarding and daycare services. In August 2025, Kelvey says Clippendale’s moved to its current location, which supported their service expansion.
When Clippendale’s first started offering boarding services, Kelvey says they were boarding between five and six dogs a day. However, recently she says they had 85 dogs boarded and at daycare in one day. Kelvey says she is blessed to receive the community’s support and looks forward to what the future brings.
The birthday bash is set for Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and it will have up to 15 local vendors including Starbird Gourmet Popcorn and So Much More, Hoptown Nutrition and Pixie’s Plushies; bounce houses and a dog carnival.
Attendees can also adopt pets from Max’s Hope Pet Rescue and Haven 12:10 Animal Sanctuary. Kelvey says they are also hosting a silent auction and a dunk tank to raise funds to support both pet rescue agencies.
The anniversary celebration is free to attend, and Clippendale’s is located at 1811 West 7th Street.
