Three individuals, including two Cadiz residents, are facing drug trafficking charges following a traffic stop in Murray Monday.
According to the Murray Police Department, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle around 2:30 a.m. on Elm Street for an equipment violation. Investigation during the stop reportedly led to 46-year-old Dion Thompson of Cadiz being charged with first-degree trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and rear license plate not illuminated.
Fifty-seven-year-old Wendy Gomes of Cadiz was also charged with trafficking in meth and possession of drug paraphernalia, while 35-year-old Whitney Gibson of Benton was charged with possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.
