Multiple agencies were on scene near Westside Park in Hopkinsville after a body was found in the river early Tuesday morning.
Hopkinsville Fire and EMS Captain Payton Rogers and Lt. Nathan Stewart tell WHOP News that EMS was called to the scene in the area of West Ninth and West Seventh Streets at approximately 6:30 a.m. for reports of a person floating in Little River.
Upon arrival, paramedics were able to determine the individual was deceased and called for the coroner and Christian County Rescue to help in the recovery process. The person has seen been recovered from the river.
Hopkinsville Police Department Public Information Officer Justin Rios says foul play is suspected at this time, with an investigation underway. Further information was not immediately available.
