A woman is facing several assault charges following an incident at the hospital Thursday evening.
According to the Hopkinsville police report, officers responded around 6 p.m. for reports that 18-year-old Destiny Baxter was attacking Emergency Room staff and destroying ER room 12.
When officers attempted to detain her, Baxter allegedly bit a doctor and spit on an officer—she also reportedly kicked several ER staff in the face and chest, kicked an officer in the chest, and threatened to kill another officer.
Baxter was arrested and charged with third-degree assault of a police officer, third-degree assault of a peace officer, third-degree assault of a first responder, terroristic threatening and first-degree criminal mischief.
