A portion of West 7th Street to have daily lane closures for water line installation

A portion of West 7th Street in Hopkinsville is set to have daily lane closures starting on Tuesday while work continues to widen the roadway.

According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, the lane closures will start on West 7th Street near Princeton Road and will progress toward North Drive. In the closure zones, road crews will be installing new water service lines.

The work is a part of a $11.6 million project to widen West 7th Street to three lanes with sidewalks and gutters from Princeton Road to North Drive.
